A Story of Family and Tradition

For more than 40 years we have been combining the passion that characterises us with the freshness of the products we select to create a cuisine that respects the traditions of the Amalfi Coast, where our family has its roots.

The beginnings

The story begins in 1977 when Mama Rosa baked bread at home in their wood-fired oven jealously guarded in the family tavern. At that time she prepared pizzas, biscuits and cakes for friends and relatives.

In 1979 Rosa began her own adventure with the sign 'Pizzeria Da Rosa', in that small flat adapted with such passion to accommodate just over 50 people.

Mamma Rosa, as everyone called her, prepared pizzas and a few other dishes according to traditional Amalfi Coast recipes.

Dreams achieved

After years of sacrifice, with great passion, in 1992 Rosa and her four eldest sons completely renovated the restaurant, bringing it to a capacity of 100 seats: Roberto joined Mamma Rosa in the kitchen, Pietro prepared the pizzas, and Stefano and Luca served in the dining room.

Over the years, requirements are refined and the kitchen specialises in fish according to the best Mediterranean traditions.

On 18 June 2004, Rosa and her four sons realised their dream of opening the"RISTORANTE PIZZERIA DA ROSA", a restaurant that has been designed down to the smallest detail after many years of experience.

And, in keeping with tradition, they continue to prepare dishes with the intention of transmitting the generous and living soul of their family passion.
